Spicer Memorial college was established in 1915. Since then it has been the flag ship of Adventist Education in Southern Asia division. All of us at Spicer will help you to achieve this dream.Spicer Memorial College is situated in the suburbs of the well-known educational and cultural city of Pune in Maharashtra state. Pune is known as the Oxford of the east. The city has a salubrious climate, adequate network of roads and railways and an international airport.

The history of the college is as old as the history of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Southern Asia Division. When the pioneers of the church stepped on the shores of the Indian sub-continent, they established churches and set up schools to provide holistic education for their church members. The first Adventist school in India was established in Karmatar, West Bengal. They also established an institution of higher learning at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. In 1915, it was relocated to Bangalore and then in 1942, to Pune. Now known as Spicer Memorial College.

The College campus sits on a seventy-four acre county estate with natural beauty and excellent farmland. It is bounded on the north by the Mula River and on the south by the sprawling campus of the University of Pune. To the immediate east is the government botanical garden. The temperate climate and quiet surroundings are conducive to study and meditation. Some of the major structures in the campus include: the administrative building, which houses offices and some classrooms. Then there are separate buildings for the library, the sciences, education, religion, agriculture, the cafeteria, boarders, the college press, industrial arts, Spicer Higher Secondary School , Spicer Products and Services. Spicer Memorial College does not reveal accreditation credentials verified at the state (i.e. Maharashtra level) or federal level. The Spicer Memorial College website does not identify any specific accreditation given to it by the Indian federal or state government. In addition, the American Association for Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO)on its Electronic Database for Global Education (EDGE) could not identify Spicer Memorial College in its listing of Indian autonomous colleges.
