Located in Sinhgad College of Pharmacy (Polytechnic) [SCOP (Poly)] was established on 11th August 2003 under the aegis of Sinhgad Technical Education Society at its Vadgaon (Bk) Campus. The Institute has highly qualified faculty members and research experience which forms the strong backbone for professional institute. It is ensured that there is sufficient opportunity for the students and staff members to interact. Efforts are made to improve this through value added programs like seminars and workshops on regular basis. This has positive effect on boosting their overall progress.Special attention is being put to create and develop an ideal model of Community Pharmacy & Hospital Pharmacy in the campus., The college lays emphasis on the Industry & academic interactions and visiting faculties from industry and healthcare services., The college has regular interactions with various Industry-Institute professional bodies like Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Indian Pharmacy Graduate Association (IPGA), Organization of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) etc. Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE), Mumbai the examination conducting body for D.Pharm course granted approval to the institute to conduct the annual examinations., College is also approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, & Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi.The meritorious students excelling in diploma course have the opportunity for direct admission to the second year B.Pharm course., Every day there is tremendous increase in population. The demand for basic needs like food, clothing, shelter & medicine is increasing in that proportion. Today pharmaceutical industry is growing very fast. Today the world pharma market is $ 700 billion & Indian Pharma Market is $ 7 billion. It is knowledge-based industry. The demand for working personnel in pharmaceutical industry is also increased. Particularly, there are ample job opportunities for D.Pharm students in marketing fields. There are new avenues for D.Pharm student in General Insurance Companies, laboratory tests etc at the time of claim.
