On 15 Sept. 1992 the Sanstha started the Saraswati Mandir Night College of Arts and Commerce to fulfil the educational needs of the disadvantaged and 'working' students. There is a large class of youth who are deprived of higher education as they have to work for their living in the day and so are unable to attend day - colleges. The S. M. Night college has been imparting higher education to such needy students by providing them opportunities of career development.., In the year 1920 a group of intellectuals like Shri C. G. Deshpande, V. R. Date, G. N. Tilak, M. K. Bhave, A. M. Palkar and honourable Siddheshwar Shastri Chitrav laid the foundation of the Saraswati Mandir Sanstha in the heart of the Pune city. The institution was set up with the noble intention of taking education to the grassroots., On 15 Sept. 1992 the Sanstha started the Saraswati Mandir Night College of Arts and Commerce to fulfil the educational needs of the disadvantaged and 'working' students. There is a large class of youth who are deprived of higher education as they have to work for their living in the day and so are unable to attend day - colleges. The S. M. Night college has been imparting higher education to such needy students by providing them opportunities of career development., The Principal of the college appointed on regular basis and a team of highly qualified staff are working with great zeal and dedication for the further development of the College. From the year 2004 - 05 the college is introducing the English medium branch of its Commerce wing, a post graduate course like M.A (Marathi) ,M.Com And Certificate Cource in Foreign Languages., Mission, "An institute dedicated to spreading the light of education by night .", Vision, Empowerment of working and disadvantaged students by imparting education at night and providing opportunities of career and personality development, To bring higher education within the reach of average, disadvantaged and working students., To encourage the overall personality development of students by motivating them into participation in various co-curricular, extracurricular and extension activates.
