About MIT School of Government MITSOG, Pune

MIT School of Government (MIT-SOG), is the first school of its kind to create future political leaders. Initiated in the year 2005, it offers a two-year Master’s Degree program in Political Leadership & Government or MPG. First year on-campus learning and Second year off-campus Internships & Training.

MIT-SOG is a constituent unit of MIT World Peace University, Pune or MIT-WPU (formerly, MAEER's MIT Group of Institutions, Pune, a highly acclaimed name in the field of education since 1983, founded by Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad).

MIT-SOG has been conceptualized by Shri. Rahul V. Karad, the Executive President of MIT World Peace University with a vision of creating Ethical, Spirited and Committed Political Leadership for the country from the grassroots and from all walks of life.

VISION
We are dedicated to the task of creating leaders with zeal for and commitment to nation building. We will achieve this by imparting to the aspirants knowledge of governmental and political processes, infusing in them a sense of national pride, democratic values, and empathy for common people and inculcating leadership qualities.

MISSION
The objective of MIT School of Government (MIT-SOG) is to help cut the learning curve that inspires a leader with maturity. The prerogative here is to hone a school of substantial thinkers who understand that every decision needs to be carefully weighed before it is implemented
