Post Graduate Diploma Business Management (MBA)

Admission to two year full time PGDM Course, approved by AICTE, at Indira Global Business School (IGBS) can be done as mentioned below:

Securing valid written score from any of the following national level tests: CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA/JMET/MH-CET and
Appearing for the Indira Common Admission Process (ICAP) comprising of written score of above mentioned tests and GD and PI, which will be held on 7th and 8th May 2011 in Pune and Indore.
In order to register online for ICAP candidates must visit the website: www.icap.indiraedu.com or visit IGBS campus in Pune for registration.
Registration fee for ICAP is Rs 1000/-
ICAP for academic year 2011 will be held in two locations: Pune and Indore
IGBS Prospectus can be viewed on IGBS website: www.indiragbs.edu.in
Hard copy of IGBS Prospectus will be available on campus for Rs 200/- (Add Rs 50/- if it is to be sent by post / courier)

Eligibility

Eligibility to appear for ICAP is minimum 10 percentile score in any of the written entrance tests as mentioned above, and graduation from a UGC recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks and minimum 45% marks for backward class candidates from Maharashtra State only. Such candidate submits all relevant caste certificates and non-creamy layer certificates at the time of confirming the admission. Absence of such certificates at the time of admission to the course disqualifies them from reserved category seats, and such candidates will be considered for open/general category.

A candidate whose result of the final year of degree course is not declared at the time of registration will be considered for application provisionally till such time the result declared fulfils the 50% criteria.

ICAP Score Pattern

Indira Common Admission Process (ICAP) is a common entrance test of 250 marks consisting of:

CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA/JMET/MH-CET written score – 150 marks
Group Discussion (GD) – 50 Marks
Personal Interview (PI) – 50 Marks

Admission to the PGDM courses at Indira Group of Institutes is based on the merit list created by using the candidate’s scores out of 250 marks mentioned above.

The conversion of score obtained from CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA/JMET/MH-CET is converted to obtain an absolute written score of ICAP by using following formula for each test:
CAT Score (in percentile) x 1.5 ATMA Score (in percentile) x 1.0
XAT Score (in percentile) x 1.3 JMET Score (in percentile) x 1.0
MH-CET Score (in percentile) x 1.25 MAT Score (in percentile) x 0.90

For example:
Candidate having CAT percentile of 70 will convert to 70x1.5=105 absolute score in written component.
NOTE: Candidate is required to give any one of the above scores at the time of filling the ICAP application form.

Results

Merit Lists are displayed as per the result of ICAP Score as - First Merit List, Second Merit List and Third Merit List, depending on vacancies in each list. Dates for Management Quota Examination and Vacant Seat Examination and subsequent results will be displayed on IGBS website. All such information is made available and will be updated on IGBS website: www.indiragbs.edu.in.

Candidates must visit the IGBS website for all updated information regularly.

Once selected, the candidate is required to pay the fees on or before the prescribed date and confirm their admission; otherwise the next student in the waiting list would be offered admission. At the time of admission, all supporting and relevant documents / certificates as stated in the application must be submitted to the Institute.

Reservation
The percentage of seats reserved for candidate of backward class category, belonging to Maharashtra State only, is 50%. If the seats do not get filled by the backward class category until the prescribed date for confirming admission then the seats would be available for the open category candidates, as part of vacant seat process.
20% Seats are reserved for the Institutional discretion of the management.

Candidates have an option for appearing for ICAP either on 7th or 8th May 2011 at either of the two locations. For Pune ICAP, candidates should report for ICAP at 08:30AM at the following address:

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

All admission are done strictly as per laid directives by the Directorate of Technical Education [DTE] of State Govt. of Maharashtra.

Eligibility for the Admissions:

In case of Open Category : Graduation with minimum 50 % marks
In case of Reserve category students: Graduation with minimum 45 % marks

In both cases valid score in CET conducted by the DTE [Maharashtra state], CAT or any other entrance examination approved by the Regulatory Authorities from time to time.
