Institute of Management, Kolhapur is a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Pune. The Institute was established in the year 1994 under the mentorship of Dr. Patangrao Kadam. The institute is a reputed institution of management science in the region & recognized by Govt. of Maharashtra and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. Up till 2005 Institute was affiliated to Shivaji University Kolhapur and recently brought under the ambit of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Pune as a constituent unit from the academic year 2005-06.

With an aim of providing quality education in management sciences, Institute of Management, Kolhapur was established in 1994. it is a reputed institution of Management Science in the region and is recognized by the Govt. of Maharashtra. The MBA and MCA programmes are approved by the AICTE, New Delhi. The Institute was affiliated to the Shivaji University till 2005. it was brought under the ambit of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) in 2005.

The Institute is having its own adequately spacious building with a fair statistical dimension of 32,258 sq. feet. The classrooms are as big as 710 sq. feet. The teaching staff is well qualified and is dedicated to work towards educating the students. The Institute is facilitated with a big library of more than 2600 sq. feet with 16,300 books and 114 journals. The papers of our faculty are published in the national and international journals.
