Netaji Subhashchandra Science College, Mulchera was established by Van Vaibhav Shikshan Mandal, Allapalli in 2002 in a small rented building. Today the college having its own building and play ground that includes a land area of about 3 acres, has grown to a strength of about 200 students. This college is affiliated to Gondwana University, Gadchiroli.

This is the only single faculty science college in Mulchera Tahsil located in remote tribal and naxal affected region of district Gadchiroli (Maharashtra). It has been started and run by Van Vaibhav Shikshan Mandal, Allapalli. This private organization has been engaged in education field for the last three decades to provide proper and true scientific knowledge to the tribal and poor students of this remote area in Gadchiroli district.

The organization has more than 50 institutes including Primary, Secondary, Higher Secondary schools, Ashram schools and Undergraduate & Post-graduate colleges providing quality education to thousands of tribal, backward, downtrodden and poor students of this remote tribal region.

This college is situated in a small village 'Mulchera' at Mulchera tahsil in Gadchiroli district. It is connected to main cities Nagpur and Chandrapur by only road (bus route).

The goals and objectives of this college are to provide quality science education at under graduate level to tribal, backward and downtrodden students of this region, so that blind faith, superstitions, backwardness and poverty may be eliminated.
