Navalbhau Pratishthan is a pioneering Institution in the State of Maharashtra. The Pratishthan was formed in 1984 by the energetic social worker & educationalists Hon'ble Shri Vijay Naval Patil (Chairman of the Pratishthan & Former Union Minister) for the great cause of human up-liftment and with the object of spreading education in Maharashtra. With this object the Navalbhau Pratishthan started many educational Institutions at Dhule, Nashik, Thane, Jalgaon & Aurangabad. The Pratishthan is successfully functioning in 5 districts in the state of Maharashtra. The Pratishthan has started many more schools, colleges, career Academies, Hostels, Industrial Training Institution, Agriculture Schools, Computer Training Institutions, Mahila Mahavidyalay etc.

The Chairman of the Pratishthan Shri V. N. Patil started his career as an Advocate in 1972. In 1978 he was elected as Member of Parliament and subsequently as union Minister. He was elected as a member of Executive Committee at Supreme Court bar in 1989 and as a standing council for Govt. of Maharashtra and A panel advocate for the central Government in the Supreme Court of India.
With his passion and love for the Law and Legal practice he strived on the task of important Legal education to the students of backward region of Maharashtra and established V. N. Patil Law College in Aurangabad. This College has given many Lawyers, Judges, Social Workers, Leaders, Law Teachers and good citizens to the Society.

Each year, a new institution is added to the campus of the Navalbhau Pratishthan. There are already many schools, colleges and institutions imparting knowledge in different disciplines. Thousands of students are on its rolls; hundreds of teachers are engaged in teaching and training them. The students come from far and wide area for education.

Navalbhau Pratishthan is devoted to peoples' education, making students self-reliant and freedom conscious. With God’s abundant grace & blessings, the hard work the staff and talent and sincerity of the student we have many great achievements in every year. Through our dedicated effort we try to develop mutual understanding goodwill, good co-operation and unity amongst our students. We build up the students as human resource required for the development of India in each and every field.

Legal Education is only media of social change, so exertions to provide legal education is the goal of our Pratishthan so that coming generation will be well equipped to face any problem with great ability and courage to lead the nation and society towards prosperity and happiness. The college has actually started LL.B. Five years & Three years course form the year 1999. From the academic year 2006-07, the Govt. of Maharashtra has accorded the permission to start Post-Graduate Course in Law (LL.M.).

We always believe that erudition beyond classroom is equally important as the classroom interaction. Therefore, students are encouraged to organize and participate in the various co-curricular, extra-curricular activities as well as sports. Our efforts are directed towards student development and self-improvement from last 21 years. This college is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad from the day of its opening and now this college is Government Grant-in-Aided College.
