The M.P. Institute of Social Science Research (MPISSR) is an autonomous, multidisciplinary Centre for research and training located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. The institute was established in 1983 and came under umbrella of the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi and Ministry of Higher Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh in 1993-94. Research activities of MPISSR are concerned with issues relating to social, economic, educational, political, cultural, administrative and civic aspects of Madhya Pradesh and adjoining states.
