Hitkarini Prashikshan Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Jabalpur established in 1969 by Hitkarini Sabha (1857). Hitkarini Sabha is Leading nationalist Educational conglomerate of Mahakoshal in Jabalpur with unique contribution to the freedom movement. Our college promoted the morals, social and intellectual interest and well being of the student teacher by extending, literacy and technical knowledge.

Hitkarini Mahila Prashikshan Mahavidyalaya, an affiliate of HITKARINI SABHA, is devoted exclusively to Girls’ empowerment through education. The institution is affiliated to Rani Durgawati Vishvidyalaya, Jabalpur. It is successfully running a B.Ed., (Female) course with an annual intake of 100 students annually since 1969 and is thus eligible to start M.Ed., (Female) course as per NCTE norms.

The College building is a monumental building having 2009 Sq. Mtrs of built up area for M.Ed., course. It has a rich library with 4709 titles and well equipped Phycology lab, Computor lab, Science lab besides Common Room and a big hall for cultural activities. The College has a sprawling play ground just adjoining to its building. The College is backed with infrastructural support of its founding body, the HITKARINI SABHA.

Ample of space has been allocated for Principal's room, Staff-room, Laboratories, Classrooms, Library, Office, Hall, Water-room along with verandahs for spacious and comfortable learning place. In addition, the sports facilities and ground adds to the overall infrastructure of the institute.

Teachers play a very important role in a student’s life. It is, to a great extent, the teachers who decide the shape a student’s life will take. So, it is very necessary to be adequately equipped with resources that will make the teacher a perfect role model to the students. To achieve this, Bachelor of Education or B. Ed was introduced, which will teach a person about Teaching and the various aspects associated with teaching. Once a person completes the Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) training, then s/he is awarded with a B. Ed degree.

A major milestone was achieved, when a training department was established in 1969 with the efforts of Kunwar LakshmiChand, former minister of Hitkarini Sabha. In 1971, this department was established as an independent training institute.

Hitkarini Prashikshan Mahila Mahavidyalaya strives to empower women through quality training and education. The institute has about 100 students enrolled in B.Ed. and 12 in B. Lib. courses. The institute is starting M. Ed. course and proposes to start M. Lib. course from forth-coming sessions.
