PIMS was established with the express objective of imparting broad based education in a sincere attempt to enable students become worthy and dynamic leaders who by virtue of their education at PIMS can leverage their academics and non-academics strengths to make significant contributions to an ever evolving an technologically advancing global community. The college is dedicated to preparing intellectual students with a sense of honesty and a spirit of exploration.Our college was started in the year 2007. The building of our college is constructed with all amenities in the People’s Campus. The college has excellent Library, specious Class rooms, Studio, Language Lab & very well maintained Computer Lab connected with Internet.The campus also has a fine executive hostel residential accommodation for academic and administrative staff. There are facilities for lawn tennis, badminton and yoga classes. Besides these facilities there is a T.V. lounge, a T.T. room, a gymnasium, a recreation room and a canteen. Facilities like ISD/STD, Telephone and Fax, Internet, and bank are also available in the campus. The People’s Group has an in-house Health Care Center exclusive to the staff & students of the various institutes of the group. It has a 1000-bedded hospital with a team of specialist doctors. The hospital provides preventive, promotive as well as curative health care services with a view to ensure Positive Health in all members of the People’s Family.

We are proud that students of Peoples Institute of Media Studies has not only topped in the Makhanlal Chaturvedi Rashtriya Patrakarita Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal’s first semester examination but most of the merit list students are from PIMS. MCRPSV is a national University and examinations are conducted nationwide. In B.Sc. (electronic media) PIMS students have got seven positions. First four positions are with PIMS. 5th, 6th and 9th positions have gone to Patna, Noida and UP Students.

Mission
To train students to think critically and to learn how to gather and present information quickly and accurately so that it makes a difference, thereby make the aspiring. To instill in students the highest ethical standards of the profession. To inculcate in students an understanding of the role of journalists in Indian Society and develop in them a deep appreciation for the importance of meticulous research and careful analysis. To provide students with hands-on experience in the functioning of large and small media organizations and to create an awareness of critical management issues in the newspaper industry.
