The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the academic year 1995-96 with an under graduate programme, postgraduate programme in the academic year 2004-05 with Power Electronics & Power Systems specialization under Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University. The Department was accredited by NBA in 2004 for three years and Reaccredited for five years in the year 2007. Acharya Nagarjuna University recognized the Department as Research Centre.
