Dr Palpu Memorial SNDP Yogam College Of Education, Kodungallur was established in the year 1995,
This college of Education named after Dr.Palpu,a great social reformer of kerala was established in 1995,under the corporate management of SNDP Yogam Colleges,Kollam.This college imparts instruction for the M.Ed Degree Course and B.Ed.Degree course and the optional subjects offered for the B.Ed Degree Course are Mathematics,Physical science, Natural science,social science,Malayalam and English.The total intake of students is hundred and is affiliated to the University of Calicut.The college is situated in a calm and serene atmosphere,two kilometers south east of Kodungallur Town. From the inception of the college it strives to become a source of inspiration and enlightenment to the teacher education students. The concept of teacher envisages the teacher,a source of inspiration and a motivator of knowledge acquisition,not as a mere knowledge provider. Hence, the college has introduced various curricular and co-curricular activities in the system. The mission is to prepare the prospective teachers more democratic and humanitarian. The curricular transactions are geared to achieve this goal. The well qualified and experienced staff of the college with their enthusiasm and creativity uphold the quality of education through their commitment and service.The activities of the college are so organised to provide positive attitude in the prospective teachers and to make them good teachers as well as good human beings.
The College has a spacious, well-equipped and growing library. The Library subcribes to different academic journals and periodicals of varied interest.The library will be opened from 9:30a.m to 4:30 p.m. on all working days.Only two books shall be borrowed by a student at atime and that can be retained only for a period of ten days.Reference books cannot be
