College of Dairy Science & Technology, Thrissur was established in the year 1955, it is affiliated to leader in agriculturual studies Kerela Agriculture University. The KAU is government aided and recently recieved govt. aid of around Rs. 2 crore. University has biggest strength of research fellowship students in agriculture from all over India. The Institute is very famous for courses in dairy science at national level, in 2007, institute organized a national seminar on Future Prospects of Milk- Based Health Foods.
