Sree Narayana Campus of Teacher Education, Kottappuram, Palakkad founded in 2002 was named after the great saint philosopher and social reformer, Sree Narayana Guru. It stands as a historical monument that reminds us the great doctrines of the Guru, ‘Gain strength through Organisation, Earn Wisdom Through Learning’, “One Caste, One religion, One God for Man.” This institution is run by Swami Swaswatheekananda trust for charity and education, Thengumkavu, Pathanamthitta, under the eminent leadership of Sri.M.B.Sreekumar Brahmasree Swaswatheekananda Swamikal, the prophet of non-religious spirituality is the spiritual light of this institution.

This temple of education is located in the valley of western ghatts with a picturesque site spread over 10 acres on the eastern side of Mannarkkad – Sreekrishnapuram road which can always hear the lullaby of ‘Karimpuzha’ river. The institution is functioning in a newly constructed building and comes under the jurisdiction of Karimpuzha Grama Panchayath, Palakkad District, Kerala.

This college of teacher education produces not only meritorious teachers from its very inception, but creates men of eminence in the diversified arenas of socio-political and cultural life of Indian society. The teacher community and student teacher community of this college contributes the brick and tool towards the process of moulding a progressive intelligentia free from caste and community prejudices and social taboos. The college was sanctioned by the Govt. of Kerala in December 2001 and affiliated to the University of Calicut. Besides the college is recognised by NCTE, New Delhi.

The college greatfully remembers the yeomen service rendered by Dr.V.M.Madhavakurup, the founding Principal. It was his enthusiasm and tireless striving that helped the prosperity of this college.
