The inception of KMCT Dental College in 2006 was another successful accomplishment of the KMCT Group of Institutions. It is located at Mukkam, about 35 km north-east of Calicut city, Kerala, along the valley of the Western Ghats, India. A town bathed in serenity, greenery and calm, placid rivers. The college is recognized by the Dental Council of India and Government of India. It is affiliated to the Kerala University of Health Sciences KUHS from 2010. KMCT Dental College is a minority status institution with a mission of serving humanity inculcating supreme moral values to the students. The college conducts BDS and MDS courses in eight specialities. Eminent faculties of this institution polish the amateurs to be competitive dental professionals with a human touch. Paramount of infrastructure including highly sophisticated labs, preclinical labs, and advanced instruments foster the skills of students. The constant inflow of patients on an average 400 patients per day to the institution reflects the goodwill of this institution. The adequate number of patients helps the undergraduate and postgraduate students to develop good skills and confidence. A library spread over 8500 sq ft with over 6000 books and 100 plus international and national journals provide a scholarly environment for learning. The two satellite dental treatment centers under the supervision of the college deliver care to the indigent population. The college proudly owns a fully air conditioned mobile dental van with which every month 8-12 dental treatment camps are conducted at schools and for the rural population. Various CDE programs by renowned speakers from different parts of the country are conducted at regular intervals for updating students and faculties about the current trends in dentistry. The college dental journal (Dental Bites), a peer-reviewed quarterly journal, publishes various research activities of the students and faculties. The college shows a keen interest in encouraging the students in their co-curricular activities and sports. The institution also encourages the students to conduct research in various specialities of dentistry, which could facilitate a change in the society and upliftment of the community.
