The College was initially affiliated to the University of Kerala and later it was affiliated to University of Calicut in 1968. At present the college is providing courses in education at graduate and post g0raduate level at B.Ed level, it provide 7 optional subjects viz., Mathematics, Physical Science, natural science, Social Studies, English, Malayalam and Commerce. M.Ed course which was started at 1995 provides two electives viz., Educational technology, Guidance and counseling. IGNOU has identified this college as a programme centre for B.Ed Course. All the courses offered are recognized by National Council for teacher Education. The College has excellent infrastructure and premium faculty.
