Keyi Sahib Training College,Located in Karimbam,Taliparamba,Kannur,has a short but proud tradition of teacher education making it one of the premier teacher education colleges in Kerala. The College seeks to foster an environment of intellectual excitement that enables both student and faculty to explore, study, and research critical education issues. It is permanently affiliated to Kannur University vide order No. Acad.A2/3452/01 dated, 09-08-2005 and recognized by National Council for Teacher Education. The institution has been included in the list of colleges under section 2 (f) and 12 (b) of the UGC act 1956 and it has been accorded minority status on 13th October 2011. The college is opened to students of all castes and creeds, providing amenities for the creation of healthy cosmopolitan atmosphere in the campus. It is an exclusive teacher education institution where we provide only bachelor degree in Education i.e. BEd. offered by Kannur University by following all the rules and regulations of NCTE. We are a Govt. Aided Institution which is run by CDMEA, a registered society

The college has been established and managed by the Cannanore District Muslim Educational Association (CDMEA), a Registered Society, No. S.24/ 1965 dated 24/ 07/ 1965 under the societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 and the personalities behind it. The college made its entry into the sphere of education in the year 1995 as one of the affiliated unaided training colleges under Calicut University and then acquired the status of an aided training college at the beginning of the academic year 1997-98. It has fulfilled the long-term need for a college of Teacher Education in the northern part of Kerala. Since then, the college has made amazing progress in all the spheres of its development.

The amazing progress KSTC has made from its humble beginning is not by chance. It is the result of the extraordinary vision of our founders and members of the Managing Society led by the respected members of the Cannanore District Muslim Educational Association. Second is the commitment and dedication of the administration led by our former Principals and sincere efforts of the faculty members, and not to forget the contributions of Non-teaching staff. The secret of success of Keyi Sahib Training College is very simple; the instillation of a feeling of belongingness in all the people working as a team. We can see only happy and motivated people in this institution and it is no wonder that we are now a much ‘sought –after’ training college as increasingly recognized for delivering quality teacher education giving due weight age to attitude dimension, skill dimension and knowledge dimension. The founder’s aim was never lost sight of and this is reflected in the generous gestures of the benefactors (students) who go out of this institution.

KSTC is striving towards excellence with a vision- unleahsing the forces within as we all believe that every individual is a treasure house of immense potentialities. The faculty strives to bring out all the potentialioties hidden inside the prospective teachers by providing a vibrant learning environment which is uniquely anchored in teaching profession. The campus forces every student-teacher to understand what true creativity in teaching is: a fragrance of freedom that blends together both feeling and action into an awareness that translates into a uniquely individual creative teaching expression.

Mission
The College feels that the present increasingly interconnected and interdependent global society requires a new brand of bold teachers who are more enabled and more inspired and more innovative in teaching and learning. They must be able to prepare and deliver lessons, and can create and organize their own multimedia files, take notes, collaborate with other students and share files with students and teachers.
