Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering & Technology (VVIET) was started in the year 1997, as part of the mission of the Vidya Vikas Educational Trust to offer top-quality education and training, and shape today's youth into the builders and leaders of a prosperous tomorrow. The institute provides a new generation environment for studies in 6 major streams, and presents a consistently fine record of success and growth in all of them. VVIET is recognized by the Government of Karnataka as well as the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, affiliated to the Vishweswaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum and governed by Vidyavikas Educational Trust®.
The Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology was started, for the Time in Mysore in the year 1998. The very concept of Training For Hotel Industry was pioneered by this college and today it is proud that has shown the way to other Educational Institution to start similar colleges. The Aim of the Institute is to Cater to the various of services Required for the ever growing Hotel Industry , Generally in the State and Particularly in Mysore city where the tourism is growing Leaps and Bounds The Ever-demanding Personal- Service from Professionals is one of the Key Factors for Starting The Institute, there is now a scramble for professional coaching in the Hotel Industries and Well- Trained Staff for thePurpose.
Being in the heart of the city, the Institute is within the east reach from any corner of any part of the city – about 3kms. From Railway Station and about 2kms from Central Bus Station.With a view to afford more comfort to the growing popularity of the institute, it is shortly being shifted to our own 65-acre campus to a well-thought out and architect designed building.
LABORATORY
The Institute over time has built very well-equipped Labs in terms of the norms prescribed by the University. In fact, this facility is being utilized by others occasionally that speaks volumes of the quality of our comprehensive and well-organized Labs.
LIBRARY
The well-stocked Library is one of the main attractions of the Institute. The Books in the Library are also lent to the students for home-study. Besides, local and foreign magazines have added to the quality of the Library.
PLACEMENT
The Institute is proud that since the introduction of Hotel management institute under the banner of Vidya Vikas Educational trust there has been 100% placement assistance. Every one of them have been engaged in various Industries and have very lucrative jobs.The Institute arranges for Placement and periodically reputed Hotels/ Industries/does the Campus Selection also.
