Located in J S S Pre - University College for Women came into existence in 1970 as a brain child of His Holiness Jagadguru Dr. Shri Shri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji with a noble motif of providing Liberty to Women through education. It is one of the fluttering institutes running under the banner of J S S Mahavidhyapeetha.The institute's secular outlook has enabled students of all castes, religions and languages to be a part of this temple of learning. Though it is located in an Urban Centre, more than 20% of its students hail from rural area. A dedicated and knowledgeable Faculty team; An Active Administrative and Non-teaching Staff team; A rich Library; Well equipped Laboratories and Auditoriums are a few things which the College offers to the students., J S S Pre - University College for Women had been an integral part of the Degree College ever since its inception in 1970. In 2002, J S S Pre - University College for Women got its separate identity as a result of the Government's education policy to bifurcate the Pre - University College from the Degree College. The College offers courses in Arts, Science and Commerce. A College which started with just 22 students, is now more than 1,200 in strength. The percentage of pass has been 80 - 90% and our goal is to achieve 100% result., As Science and Technology advanced the attitude of society also advanced. Women came out of the houses seeking equality. For the progress of our country education is also necessary. Then his holiness contributed his share to the Nation building by establishing JSS College for Women three decades ago. This institute offers courses in Arts, Science & Commerce. The institute has achieved 26 ranks at the Pre-University and University exams and always has 80 to 90% pass results., The College, situated in the 'Serene Saraswathipuram' has a campus spread over 8 acres.
