The IAE was founded in response to a felt need for, educational institutions which cater to the weaker section of the society. This has blossomed into well established foundation spreading the fragrance of education to several parts within the country & abroad. Today it is sponsoring several schools, regular & professional colleges. This college has been started in response to the need in the year 2003 – 2004 with an annual in take of 60 students. Physiotherapy is an allied medical profession. A concern is Physiotherapy is desirable for men and women who are interested in health sciences. Physiotherapy graduates have a wide range of career opportunities in hospitals. Rehabilitation centers and health clinic in India & abroad.
The colleges offers 4 & half yrs. Bachelor Degree program is Physiotherapy (BPC) attached to Yenepoya Medical College which includes 6 months internships on full time continuous basis, affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bangalore and approved by Govt. of Karnataka recognized by Indian Association of Physiotherapists.
Physiotherapy as a health profession underwent spectacular changes in the second half of the 20th century. It makes a difference in the life styles of those affected with hereditary diseases, birth defects, athletic injuries, surgical interventions, infectious diseases, acute and chronic diseases affecting most of the body systems. Physical Therapy is providing services to people and populations to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability throughout the lifespan.
Physiotherapy qualifying programme prepares students to function effectively in changing the world of Health care to be analytical problem solvers who are autonomous practitioners in their own right.
