Established in 1998, the Yenepoya Institute of Nursing Sciences, envisaged to meet the staff requirements – nursing and midwifery – of Yenepoya Hospital. Considering the booming demand for well-trained Nurses, the Islamic Academy of Education has also setup a nursing institution - Yenepoya Institute of Nursing Sciences - in the year 1998. It offers a Diploma course in General Nursing & Midwifery.The Yenepoya Nursing College Library & information Centre is situated in the YMCH building, Mangalore. It is housed in a separate wing of the 5th floor with proper lighting & seating arrangements.The aim of the Islamic Academy of Education to Start Yenepoya Institute of Nursing Sciences at Mangalore is to cater to the needs of the society. The well being of the individual and community depends on promotion of health and prevention of diseases. Yenepoya Institute of Nursing Sciences trains nursing students to provide comprehensive care to individuals/family community. This college has been started in th year 1997-98with an intake of 50 students., We believe in providing Nursing education based on scientific principle and built on the sound educational theory & practice, in order to prepare professionally qualified nurses, who will be able to function as a team member, in all health care agencies in the role of a practicing nurse., The Nursing is a practicing profession inter dependent on allied professions & occupations for promoting, restoring & maintaining health and in preventing diseases.Yenepoya Institute of Nursing Sciences was started in the year 1997, with a view of training nursing students to provide comprehensive nursing care to individuals, families and the community., The institute was recognized by the Karnataka Nursing Council in the year 1999 and by the Indian Nursing Council in the year 2001. In the year 2002, Government sanction was obtained for the enhancement of seats from 20 to 50. Accordingly, 50 students are being admitted every year. Our Institution meets the International standards of Quality Management System and ISO9001-2000 certificate is issued on 1st February 2003., From the very beginning, our Institution is are securing good results.
