    SCOPE AND PROSPECTS

    The Hospitality sector, as the pre-dominant area of the tourism industry, has really taken off in a big way in India and there is a boom going in this industry. The Hotel industry is growing at a rate of 20% per year and the additional human resource requirement of the industry was over 70,000 in the year 2006. To keep pace with the unprecedented growth, the additional room requirement by the end of the year 2007 would be around 65,000 which is a phenomenal growth. After completing this course, students can get job opportunities in standard hotels, restaurants, clubs, resorts, airlines, hospitals, armed forces, consultation firms, colleges, railways and various connected industries.
