Realizing the immense service that nursing as a profession provides to the society, BLDE Association initially established BLDEA’s School of Nursing in 1990. BLDEA achieved another milestone by starting Shri B.M. Patil Institute of Nursing Sciences in 1998. Recognized by the Government of Karnataka, KNC and INC, New Delhi, & affiliated to RGUHS, Bengaluru, the institute is well-equipped to provide students with a balanced curriculum, which combines theory, practice and an orientation to modern medical practices.
The added advantage of the institute is BLDE Association’s multi-speciality 1000-bedded Shri. B. M. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, which serves as a training ground for all nursing students. The hospital with its ultra-modern facilities is well positioned to give students a contemporary perspective on the medical world. Besides, students are encouraged to participate in a variety of community health programme to get a clear understanding of the healthcare needs of the society.
