Xavier Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship XIME was started from May 1991. One was intensely personal and stemmed from what was both a dream and a promise. The other was entrepreneurial, the force that makes heroes of humble men andcreates great institutions out of small beginnings. XIME's faculty is key to its search for excellence and their development is essential for maintaining the highest standards. XIME would ensure this through adequate and relevant research, consulting and training in their areas of specializations.
XIME offers a uniquely stimulating environment and on-campus experience. The sprawling campus which is spread over more than four acres boasts of world-class facilities and resources for the community of students, alumni, faculty and staff. The campus facilities include 14 classrooms with seating capacities ranging from 40 to 150, an executive conference hall and an auditorium with a seating capacity of 300. All students have laptops and the entire campus (including the Hostels) is WiFi enabled. The computer lab , with 120 PCs, also has its own state of the art video conferencing facility. All class rooms are enabled with audio-visual facilities. Various sporting leagues are instituted by the college to promote a competitive but wholesome environment. The basketball, volley ball, badminton, tennis courts and table tennis and billiards tables are the scenes of much activity every evening at XIME.

This 15 month Executive PGDM has been designed to equip corporate professionals with concepts, skills and techniques essential to make them more effective leaders and change agents in their organizations, whether in the private or public sectors. The thrust of the learning experience is to train you to compete and succeed using leadership skills, strategic thinking and in-depth functional knowledge. The programme shortens the learning curve of prospective General Managers and Vice Presidents through exposure to strategic issues in management over a wide front.
The programme is aimed to sharpen your skills with intensive learning in each of the functional areas of business management and to develop you as a confident, well-informed manager. The programme challenges you with fresh ideas, and it enables you to add clarity and depth to your perspective by exchanging ideas and thoughts and comparing notes on business practices with your peers as well as members of faculty and visting resource persons. PGDM which is equivalent to MBA, is the core of XIME's management education programmes. This is a two-year, full-time, residential programme. The programme follows a trimester system. The first year consists of the requisite foundation courses. The second year has a few core courses, several electives and integrative courses. The Institute offers specializations in Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Production & Operations and International Business. XIME proudly held the convocation of its first batch in 1997 and is now gearing up for the graduation of the 16th batch in May 2012.
The Curriculum
* Our comprehensive curriculum is revised once in 2/3 years in consultation with the industry, alumni, students and faculty.
* Entrepreneurship and International Business are core subjects.
* Business Ethics is a mandatory course.
