    Takshashila Teacher Training Institute (D.Ed.) (Regd.) was established in the year 2004 to promote quality education in Bangalore, Karnataka State. Shri. Mallikarjun Kharge the founder Chairman of the trust is an eminent educationalist in India, who held several high positions in Government of Karnataka.

    As elementary education plays a very important role in a person’s life and also in the development of the nation the need to train the teachers is increasingly been realized. In India there are different institutes that provide Diploma in Education, D.Ed. This diploma in education would help the teachers in developing the cognitive skills and also in taking care of the emotional needs of the students. The diploma in education or D.Ed. is gaining popularity as various states have made it compulsory to have D.Ed to be eligible for appointment as teachers. Our objective of providing diploma education has been possible due to sincere and dedicated efforts of the members of Takshashila Teacher Training Institute who have in valuable experience in varies areas like academics, industrial and social work. Takshashila Teacher Training Institute's aim is to prepare the students to enter the real world well equipped in the field of education and give their best to society. Empowering the region with Knowledge and benefit the masses. The proposed College is enriched with best of Educational facilities and has a rich heritage of over a decade of experienced and senior faculty members and management. The College is expected to commence from September & October with an intake of 50 seats subjected to final approval from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

    The D.Ed. Program aims to train teachers for the schools in the government/private sector in India. The curriculum and evaluation systems adopted by the college are similar to those used in the typical Colleges of Education. Emphasis is given to the development of domain knowledge and teaching skills. They take foundational and experiential coursework to enable them to meet the students with linguistic, cultural, learning and behavioral diversity.
