About St Philomena College of Nursing, Bangalore

The College of Nursing is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, offering the Degree course in Basic B.Sc. Nursing. The School and the College of Nursing are recognized by the Indian National Council. Since their inceptions in 1951, thousands of nurses are trained whose skills and competence have won praise in India and abroad.

The School and College provide good educational facilities with the help of well-qualified staff and wide clinical field for practical experience in the hospital. The Philosophy of St. Philomena's College of Nursing and School of Nursing, is stated as below:

"Nursing education should impart sound religious, mental, moral, social and physical growth of the training impart through a ministry of caring and nurturing. Nursing should assist individuals; families and communities wherever they are, to prevent illness, promote and restore health and alleviate suffering. The unique characteristic of the training imparted in this institution is that it seeks to imbue the nurses with the spirit of Jesus, more specially His compassionate love for the poor, the lonely, and those in need of health care."
