Shri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College, or SBMJC, as it is popularly known, was set up in 1990 with the vision of providing wholesome education to the youth so that they can develop emotional stability and face the challenges of the future with confidence and courage. It is located in Bangalore or what is known as the IT capital of India. SBMJC is affiliated to the Bangalore University. The College pays attention to the overall development of the personality of the students and they are actively encouraged to participate in various co- curricular and extra- curricular activities. At SBMJC they have the choice to become an NCC cadet, an NSS volunteer, or they can also work with international clubs like The Rotaract Club and the Toastmaster's club. The sports department of SBMJC avail the facilities for Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Tennis, cricket and swimming.SBMJC - a division of JGI, the youngest college accredited by NAAC is one of the leading colleges imparting education at the Pre-University level.
