The above society was started in the year 1976 with a view to establish Educational Institutions in the Educationally and Economically backward Hyderabad-Karnataka area. It has championed the cause of education by starting more than Twenty Educational Institutions in four Districts of the model State of Karnataka Viz, Gulbarga, Bidar, Raichur and Bangalore including Primary Schools, High Schools, Technical Institutions and Colleges.

Milind Institute of Pharmacy was started in the year 1983 to produce quality Pharmacists with a Diploma in Pharmacy who could serve in Community and Hospital Pharmacy. After running successfully the Diploma Course in Pharmacy for more than 8 years and encouraged by the good results obtained from the inception, it was decided to upgrade the Institute to Degree level. Government of Karnataka was pleased to sanction the B.Pharm. Degree Course to Milind Institute of Pharmacy during 1991.Milind Institute of Pharmacy came into existence in 1983. It is managed and run by Karnataka Peoples Education Society. The educational institute is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of health Science (RGUHS), Bangalore and recognized by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Milind Institute of Pharmacy is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, New Delhi. The institute conducts course in pharmacy at the undergraduate degree and diploma level – Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) and Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm). Milind Institute of Pharmacy has a wide range of modern amenities within its campus.
