ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
LISAA has developed a unique and multidisciplinary training program for design based on two expertise areas: interior/environment design & product design.
Interior Design Course
The training in this workshop approaches complex projects: housing, working areas, leisure areas, public areas, sets, and commercial architecture and others.
For this course, a student must be able to:
A. Analyze a programme
B. Prioritize data
C. Develop a concept and create it choosing its volume, material, and colours
D. Make formal choices
E. Make technical decisions
F. Produce structured and visual elements to present projects
G. Drafting, axes, cuts, outlines perspectives, material boards and models.
Environmental and Product Design Course
The same type of working methodology and communication used for the workshop as in interior design is progressively set up. Using the same teaching methods, our design workshops offer complementary projects to those used in the interior design workshop.
For this course, a student must be able to:
A. Understand the discipline and use their know-how,
B. Understand the function and the legitimacy of an object, furniture or process.
C. Understand the relation between user and product in a specific context.
D. Consider the new challenges of sustainable development and eco- design.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The graphic designer creates “the mood” which gives life to the press. The combination of his creativity and technical skills stimulate his work as a designer. The graphic designer produces visual identities for various sectors and renews the graphic codes. The training is adapted to the sector's needs. Our professors know the demands of this fast - moving market and teach the students how to construct a project for specific targets and develop their ideas using various media. The goal is to satisfy a growing demand in creative images.

TRAINING WHICH TARGETS THREE ASPECTS
The affirmation of one's personality and professionalism: Our students develop a professional attitude: imagination, technology awareness, self- criticism and listening skills. Through applied work and experimental projects, they acquire the experience, the sense of management and creative daring.
The acquisition of a culture of image: To improve their creativity, our students appropriately use the history of graphic design (style, trends, techniques) and the latest trends. They learn to identify, collect and take advantage of these references to feed their imagination.
The mastering of techniques: A designer must master all the tools at his disposal: traditional (drawing, photography) and computer tools. This knowledge allows new combinations of unique proposals to take place: water colour mixed with videos, a poster responds to a web page, typography is in movement and illustration gets sound...

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
The first year provides the student with the methodological, technical and conceptual tools needed to define and implement a graphic message, such as, the analysis of symbolism, the culture of image, and mastered software and other related topics. The second year students follow specific courses. The teaching corresponds to the industry in which they would like to work (web, phone, advertising, audiovisual, illustration, press). The final year thesis allows students to further personalize their portfolios, to assert their personality and to facilitate their placement. Several internships, before and after graduation, are often an essential bridge between the school and the job market.

The compulsory foundation course in applied art at LISAA is followed by 2 years and 6 months of curriculum and an internship. Our students according to their profile and talent, make a choice between two expertise areas: Textile Designer or Fashion Designer.

Progressive Programme Structure
In the first year, the first semester is to learn the professional techniques and the practice of the fundamental exercises such as forecasting of the trends which allows students to be creative.
In the second semester, the students utilize their creative and technical skills in their first personal collection highlighting their identity and culture.

The second year is designed as per the needs of the industry. The students develop a collection for
the middle range ready to wear sector; they draw attention to the trends, they define a marketing strategy to conquer new targets. The project in the diploma reinforces the individuality of the personal collection and allows the students to define their professional profile.

Two Specialties
As soon as the first year is over, the students are specialized: they can affirm a profile of textile designer or fashion designer. The training units are the same, only the quantities change according to the specialization. Textile design is more for graphic and art designers. Students under this specialization are the ones who like to draw, to colour and have a good feeling with the surfaces, they transform surfaces easily (dying, weaving, embroideries, knitting etc.) Fashion design is more suitable for the students who are interested in structure and shape of the garments. With understanding for the cutting and shaping, they transform some garments, customize, stitch and piece together fabrics for an original creation.
