The JSS College for women under the aegis of the JSS Mahavidyapeetha was founded in the year 1991. The core strength of the college is its experienced teachers whi strive to give individual attention to all students. The staff attempts to bring in the fukk potential and talents of its students by providing them great opportunities.

From a humble begining in less than 17 years ago. J.S.S. College for women today has grown into an institution that transcends boundaries and culture. The college encourages the students to put in hard work and at the same time ciltivates the habit of creative thinking and thrie ovrall development. The college has objectives to develop intelectual skills, emotional stability, Social adjustments and culturalappreciation.
The Jss Mahavidyapeetha is a Socio-cultural institution that has pioneeres the concept of education as a tool for social change. It was founded at Mysore in the year 1954 by His Holiness Jagadguru Shri Shivarathri Rajendra Maha Swamiji-the 23rd Pontiff of the suttur Math. It was his vission to use education as a tool to empover the poor to combat ignorance and poverty.

Today Mahavidyapeetha runs over 300 institutions covering all disciplines of education including training for all india Civil Service like IAS, IPS, IFS etc. The matt has a long history and has associated itself with the growth and development of education, Literature, Culture and spiritually for the Prosperity of humanity.In this era of fast paced living and fast eroding values, the J.S.S Mahavidyapeetha brings withit centuries of tradition,, education and service.

The matt has taken an unprecedented lead in the empowerment of women by establishing colleges for women, in a number of places. One such is the J.S.S. College for women situated at HSR Layout, Bangalore.

Our colleg,proud institution established in 1970 in the city of Mysuru is one amoung the hundreds of fluttering and shining flags of the chariot of Saraswathi. The College has excellent infrastructure facility with well equipped, Spacious and well lit classrooms, multimedia facilities and well stacked library. It has been given permanent Affiliation by the University of Mysore in the year 1995-96 and recognised by U.G.C under Section 12B and 2(F). It has been imparting need-based education in the field of Commerce, Humanities and Science.
