Admission Notices

    Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian Law College is the only college in Bengaluru imparting legal education exclusively for Women. To instill the values of the cause of women more in the minds of young girls and to empower them, this exclusive institution for legal education was inaugurated on 14th July 2002. Ten batches of students have stepped out of our College with flying colours. The Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian Law College is recognized by the Government of Karnataka, affiliated to Bangalore University till 2008-09 and from 2009-10 affiliated to Karnataka State Law University and approved by the Bar Council of India. The College is managed by the Board of Management of Karnataka Central Diocese of Church of South India.

    The Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian Law College is the great grand child of the prestigious Bishop Cotton School which found its establishment in the year 1865. In 1911 the School was bifurcated and the Bishop Cotton Girls School was housed in Stanford House. In 1985, Bishop Cotton College was started which was upgraded to Bishop Cotton Women's Christian Degree College in 1987. They moved into the present campus in 1999. This College being dedicated to the cause of women's higher education which is considered to be a vital service to the nation, took initiative to start a Law College exclusively for woman as it was felt that woman should know their rights and should fight for their cause. Thus Bishop Cotton Women's Christian Law College came into existence in 2002.

    The Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian Law College is recognized by the Government of Karnataka, affiliated to Bangalore University till 2008-09 and from 2009-10 affiliated to Karnataka State Law University and approved by the Bar Council of India. The College is managed by the Board of Management of Karnataka Central Diocese of Church of South India.
