B.E.S College of Education was established during the year 19071-72 by Bharath Education Society, 4th Block, Jayanagar, Bangalore-560011. The Society is also running various other Educational Institutions such as Nursery, Primary, High School, PUC, Degree, Pharmacy, Law College, Polytechnic and Diploma in Education.Bharath Education Society was founded under the guidance and leadership of Sri B.L.Lakke Gowda, who has rendered memorable and sterling contribution in the field of education and Co-operative Movement.The members of the Executive Committee of the Society consists of a cream of personalities from all fields of Society, Government and other walks of life who have rendered selfless service with spectacular success in their respective fields., The College has a Governing Council consisting Chairman Sri C.S. Mallaiah, I.A.S.(Retd.), Sri V.Gangappa & Sri K. Ramu as members from the Executive Committee. The other two members are from teaching faculty on rotation.The Governing Council conducts monthly meetings and reviews the Educational, Administrative and Financial matters of the college and suggests ways and means to achieve all round improvement of the institution. College of Education has already completed 33 Academic years. The Bharath Education Society has built & nurtured the college over the years. During this period with the passage of time the college has all the infrastructure such as well equipped Library, Science Laboratory, Psychology Laboratory, Computer lab and Language Laboratory in keeping with larger interest of Student-teachers. ., The College has highly qualified, efficient, ethical and dedicated teaching staff. They put-forth collective efforts to infuse courage and confidence in students in order to achieve astounding results. College in these academic years, 32 batches of Students have passed out of the institution with several distinctions. Our college has been one of the top ten colleges in the state of Karnataka and in Bangalore University. It has secured 98% to 100% first classes especially for the past five years. Many of our old Students are working as teachers, principals, administrators and lectures in various institutions all over Karnataka and outside. Some of the students have secured Ph.D. & M.Phil. It is a pride to mention that the college has many rank holders for its credit. The institution continues to strive hard to achieve Excellency in Teacher education. .
