To quote Justice P.N. Bhagwati
" Legal aid means providing an arrangement in the society so that machinery of administration of justice becomes easily accessible and is not denied by reason of poverty, illiteracy etc".
Our students' keen involvement in this sphere echoes the above purpose. BILS students have been visiting villages every year in and around Bangalore to provide Legal aid to the needy. This has received much acknowledgement from the Karnataka Legal Aid Services Authority. BILS has a active Legal aid Cell which conducts Legal Literacy Programmes to students at the undergraduate level.Housed within the campus, it boasts of adequate facilities, be it in terms of maintenance, furniture, reading facility or hygienic cooking which includes both North Indian & South Indian cuisine.
