Our Institution was founded by Late Prof. N. Ananthachar, a well known educationist. It is located in Narasimharaja colony, Basavanagudi area, the southern part of Bangalore, which is a prestigious, educational , and elite locality of the city. The college is located 9 kms away from the city railway station and Kempegowda bus station/Majestic area, 5kms from M.G road, 3kms from Jayanagar 4th block. We have completed 53 years of dedicated service in the field of education providing quality education to all kinds of students’ community. Our institution is the alma mater for a large number of dignitaries and personalities well known in Karnataka and at national and international levels. We have spacious laboratories which are well equipped in the Science and computer wings and rare collections of specimens and equipment. A Spacious and fully computerized library equipped with a seminar hall and LCD projector in addition to an impressive collection of books has provided the right ambience for achieving academic excellence. The College conducts various extra – curricular activities and participation in national level and university level sports is encouraged workshops are conducted in different departments to inculcate Scientific temperament in students. UGC funds are completely utilized for the betterment of the College. Our Students are recipients of many gold medals each year by their dedicated performance at both UG and PG levels. We have many dedicated staff members with Doctorate degrees training students every year for B.A, B.Sc. B.C.A and M.A (Economics) courses. Most of the departments get 100% results in each semester examinations. Many student centric activities conducted every year are fully sponsored and motivated by the generous Management of our institution.

The college has a career guidance and placement cell which assists students in their placements. NCC and NSS activities in the college help the students in their all-round development. The college has a counseling cell called ‘Sumana’, which attends to the academic, personal, emotional adjustment problems of the students. Anti-ragging cell, women’s empowerment cell, disciplinary unit of the college maintains the overall discipline of the college.
