Al-Ameen Educational Society was founded in the year 1966. as a progressive society of education it felt the need for educating and empowering the minorities and the less fortunate section of the society.
The founder of the Al-Ameen educational society Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed khan a noted visionary realized that Al-Ameen should establish in the other spheres of activities by establishing institutions in various faculties like Medicine, Engineering, Pharmacy, Law, Management, Teacher Education & thus Al-Ameen became a movement and is fondly known as the AL-AMEEN MOVEMENT. It is a matter of privilege and pride that Al-Ameen movement has focused its attention right form basic education to research through a network of 170 INSTITUTIONS spread all over Karnataka and other states of the country. These institutions are serving nearly 55,000 students.
A dedicated team is fulfilling the objectives of Al-Ameen educational society with zeal and zest in the best interest of the community and the Nation at large. Al-Ameen Arts, Science & Commerce College has completed 38 years and is one of the premier institutions in the Garden city of Bangalore. The College is permanently affiliated to Bangalore University and is accredited by NAAC with B+ grade. The college offers 3years Degree courses in Arts, Science, Commerce and Computer Application. The College is in the forefront in providing post graduation in Microbiology, Biotechnology & Computer Application. These postgraduate departments are considered to be the best in the jurisdiction of Bangalore University. The medium of instructions for all the courses is English. Admissions are open to the boys and girls of all sections of society irrespective of cast, creed and religion. Since it is a minority institution the preference is given to the minorities and the deserving segments of the Society like SC, ST & OBC. Al-Ameen Arts, Science & Commerce College is permanently affiliated to Bangalore University and therefore all the academic matters and the calendar of events is as prescribed by the Bangalore University.

The management has consolidated the infrastructure of the institutions with adequate buildings, laboratories, equipments, library, canteen and other facilities. Aiming at creating an ideal environment for good student life, the college is housed in an impressive and imposing building. In is located in the heart of the city in a sprawling serene campus with a beautiful landscape. The students can easily commute to the college from any part of the city. The environment creates an educational and moral atmosphere in the college and contributes to overcoming undesirable influences. The college has well equipped laboratories.
The library is well stocked with huge number of text and reference books. The faculties are augmented and expended regularly. The pride of the college is its air-condition seminar hall and cyber centre. The classed are engaged by a well-qualified and dedicated team of teachers. They discharge their duties with care and concern towards achievement of the objectives of the institution. A tutorial system exists to facilitate the holistic development of the student. A group of about 30 students are under the careful eye of a teacher (tutor). The tutors listen to student' needs and create a friendly environment for interaction and inter-relation. Students are encouraged to involve in co-curricular and extra curricular activities to improve their skills and creative talents.
