Established in 1972, Ram Lakhan Singh Yadav College is a constituent unit of Ranchi University. The name of the college is in honour of the then Honorable Minister of Education, Late Ram Lakhan Singh Yadav of undivided Bihar, whose vision was to educate underprivileged group of society through opening Schools & Colleges in every district of the State. The college is a part of the great vision of this august personality.

With the vision of the College aims to train the young minds to be a responsible, knowledgeable and honest citizen of the country. To spread the rays of knowledge among each and every deprived student of the society, the college endeavors to delineate and disseminate it in an innovative way.
OUR MISSION
The teaching learning and other activities of the institution are designed in a fashion that Students enrolled in this Institution do not learn only curriculum, but they are trained to be disciplined and honest in their behavior. To inculcate the ethical sprit among the students and enrich them with moral values, are the prime mission of the institution. The College caters to the educational needs of unprivileged and, deprived students from tribal and backward remote areas of Jharkhand and neighboring states.
