New courses were added to the curriculum of the college with due permission of the university at different stages of its progress. It was in 2004 the college got the opportunity of to be assessed by NAAC and was accredited C Grade. In 2005 the college was provincialized along with other 188 colleges by the government of Jharkhand. Kolhan University was established in 2009 at Chaibasa and the college became a permanent constitute unit of the university.
