Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, also known as MGM Medical College, is an Indian medical school established in 1964 affiliated to Ranchi University, Ranchi. It is situated in the outskirts of Jamshedpur near Dimna. The students are admitted through an All India pre medical test CBSE PMT held by CBSE and Jharkhand and Bihar states' combined entrance tests. The college's hospital is located in Sakchi. This hospital caters to the poor and needy people in and around Jamshedpur. Currently there is post graduate education in Anatomy(MS), Physiology(MD)and Pharmacology(MD).Postgraduate diploma is in radiodiagnosis (DMRD), obstetrics & gynecology (DGO) and in paediatrics (DCH). Students undergo parts of their clinical training at Tata Main Hospital, Jamshedpur. the college is situated on the foot of "dalma hills" nearly 4 kilometres from the town of jamshedpur,in a locality named dimna. The NH-33 separates the town from the college. nearly 2 kilometres away is the breathtaking dimna lake.

Medical College, Jamshedpur came into existence on 14th Nov’ 1961, to fulfill the aspirations of Bihar and Jharkhand and is a reputed Medical College of erstwhile Bihar, where P.G. and U.G. Medical Education have been imparted since long.

True to its name it has grown to become the premier medical institution of Jharkhand and India imbibing the Gandhian philosophy of making access of quality health care to the needy people of Jharkhand and its neighboring States.

GM Medical College was established in the year 1961, under the Chairmanship, who has earned national and international credentials for the promotion of Medico-Social services.
