Located in The Prestigious Bokaro Steel City College, Bokaro Jharkhand was established on 05th of February, the pious day of Basant Panchami in the year 1970. The campus of the college is spread over twenty (20) Acres of lush green land. The campus gives very beautiful and peaceful look. It is most suitable for higher education. In the east Garga River, in the west Khanjo River, in the north Damodar River and in the south satanpur hills gives protection and beauty to this Bokaro Steel City and the college. Bokaro a new and modern planned city was named on 12th September 1964. Before this date this city was a conglomeration of 66 villages with tribal, scheduled caste and back ward population in majority. The then area was known as marafari Nature has blessed the city with all six seasons., The college converted from an affiliated college to a constituent college of the then Ranchi University in the year 1978 and became a constituent part of the Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag in the year 1992. Our College is registered with the University Grant Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) and 12 (B)., The College imparts higher education up to Degree pass and honours in the faculties of Social Sciences, Humanities, Science, Commerce and management. The numbers of students enrolled in the last session are 3871 of which male students 2585 with female number 1415. We provide our best possible quality learning spite of large number of problems., The College provides higher and quality education in few prestigious self finance and distant learning such as B.Ed., Biotechnology, Nalanda Open University and environmental sciences also., We have learned Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor with NET qualified contractual teachers. Our teachers are always busy in reading, writing, Research and also they are closely attached with the students. Teachers are aware of the student’s problem and try to solve them. Teacher gives parental behavior to the students., Encourage outdoor activities of the students. Besides reading they take part in cultural and games activities. Our Students wins prizes in many games such as archey, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Weight Lifting, Running, Dances, acting etc., We have good Library, Common room, reading room, play ground and well equipped Laboratories also. We have 3/19 Jharkhand NCC Battalion with commissioned officer of the rank Lieutenant along with NSS Unit., Our mission is to impart quality and quality education among the students. We want to minimize the dropout rate especially among the girl and tribal students. We encourage promotion of Research and innovation.
