The Department of Biotechnology at JIIT research infrastructure and enabling facilities has contributed to its success in carving a niche for itself on the national biotech education map. The department has consistently maintained its ranking in top 5 biotechnology departments for education quality and research infrastructure amongst private institutions offering Biotech courses in India (Source: Biospectrum, a leading Biotechnology Magazine).The research laboratories operate in more than 800 sq. m. of combined laboratory space accommodating a core facility with high-end instruments and dedicated curricular and research laboratories to undertake research in priority areas of biotechnology with emphasis on applied research.
