Government degree college Basohli, a co-educational institution was established on 16 of August 2005 with initial enrollment of 61 number of students in the discipline of humanity with English, Political science, applied Maths. and Computer application subjects and was housed in Government Higher Secondary School Basohli. Presently the Basohli college is functioning in its own building since 2010 and is catering about 400 students of Basohli and its peripheral area. The college at present offers undergraduate courses in Arts, Science and Commerce streams and it is adequately equipped with laboratory equipments required as per the syllabi by the prescribed by the University of Jammu. Situated in the hilly region of state, college fulfills the aspirations of the students and needs of the society in terms of availing higher education at their door step. The college is affiliated and recognized by the university of Jammu.
