      About Bharat College of Education, Kathua

      Bharat College of Education was established during the year 2007 by the Mehtab educational trust. The college is has a beautiful double story building painted in red and white located on the National Highway (NH-1A) near Hatli Morh Kathua. The college has a well equipped Science Lab, a Computer Lab, an audio-visual room, Play ground, mess and canteen etc. Mess and canteen facilities are also available for the students.

      List of facilities available at Bharat College of Education, Kathua for students.

      College has a well equipped library with books concerning all subjects of B.Ed. It has a spacious reading room for the students. National and local Newspapers in different languages (Hindi, English and Punjabi) reach early in the morning. Magazines in Hindi and English are regularly prescribed.
      Apart from magazines and newspaper college has annual prescription of Research journals in the college i.e. Edutracks and Community Guidance
      1A student is entitled to borrow books upto a price of Rs.500/ for 7 days.
      2If a student keeps the book beyond 7 days he will be fined Rs.5.00 per day.
      3Teacher can borrow 4 books at a time for a period of 7 days.
      4If a book is damaged by borrower he/she will have to pay double the cost of the book or replace the book with a new one.
      5If a rare book/book of foreign author is damage the fine will be 4 times of the original cost.
      6In all cases identity card must be shown at the time of borrowing a book.
      7Reference books, magazines and journals will not be issued to the students.
      Science laboratory has its own value because students can gain the knowledge through practical and develop the scientific attitude. With the help of practical work, students can develop the power of reasoning, imagination, observation, concentration, analysis, originality and of systematic thinking. Science practical give us the in sight which enables us to search the truth and the reality of nature around us. We are able to do useful work with the help of wisdom acquired through science practical.

      Sports facilities are available in the campus. Annual Sports event is held in the month of December in every year
      Good transportation facilities for its students, staff members and visiting guests.
      1 Room rent as determined by the university authorities can be deposited in two advance installments.
      2 Mess fee will also be charged in advance. The mess will be run by a mess committee. Mess fee is also determined by the university.
      3 Guests are not allowed to stay in the hostel.
      4 Visitors are not allowed. Only those visitors will be allowed to meet the students who are recommended by the parents at the time of admission with their photographs.
      5 Ordinarily the girls will not be allowed to go out of the hostel.
      6 They will be allowed an outing in the company of a teacher.
      7 Hostel girls will not be allowed to stay out at night. In this case there will be no relaxation.
      8 Parents and guardians are advised to keep in touch with the authorities on under mentioned telephone numbers1
