The technical education sector took a different turn in Kerala from the year 2003 when the state Govt. in principle agreed to permit self-financing private institution in Kerala state. As a result Govt. allowed 20 institutions, which impart under graduate pharmacy in the state of Kerala. By 2008 about 1300 graduates pass out every year from the pharmacy Institutions. Even though the pharmaceutical industry has not grown in Kerala the graduates find suitable place in pharmaceutical industries outside the state or in abroad and in hospital environments the graduate who pass out from Kerala are well absorbed in important posts in gulf countries also., It was in this scenario Rajiv Gandhi Memorial Educational and Charitable Society thought of establishing new Technical Educational Institution in the state of Kerala. The institution started at Trikarpur in Kasaragod district. The campus is spread over 3.5 acres of land with panaromic views of lush gardens. The magnanimous building with built up area of about 46000 Sq.fet is well equipped with spacious laboratories, qualified faculties, class rooms, well furnished library, modern equipments, teaching aids and other facilities as prescribed by All India Council for Technical Educations and Pharmacy Council of India. The premise is meant for development of knowledge based education., Vision, To upgrade the Pharmacy Institute as a research centre in pharmaceutical sciences and to establish study centre to promote medical, paramedical and technical education. To provide the yeoman professional service among the student community to unleash the ingenious potentials of their brains., Mission, Ultimate excellence–our pride .To render humanitarian services and actively promote and preserve the moral values and ethics in education, health care and research and pursue excellence in all these areas while consciously meeting the expectation of the people to serve without prejudice and in all fairness stay socially meaningful in its propagation of the various arts and science to enrich humanity at large., The trust has developing a center of excellence in education, developing competent and skilled professionals to face the scientific, technological, managerial and social challenges in the fast-evolving global scenario, with a high degree of credibility ,integrity, ethical standards and social concerns., To lead the students on to a direction by imparting quality education towards molding their career to become better pharmacist of the future and train them to move with time to meet the growing professional challenges of different facets of the profession and join the national stream to render professional services to the society.
