K.C College of Education is located on Akhnoor Road opposite BSF School Paloura which is about five kilometers from Jewel Chowk. It is housed in an independent building in 8 kanals of land with lush green surrounding and foliage free from dust and pollution and far from the madding crowd, noise and disturbance of the city. The atmosphere is serene and pleasing . It is run by the K.C Educational Society registered under the Societies Act. The college is recognized by the Jammu and Kashmir Government vide letter No HE/Recog/KC/2001/dated 12-7-2002 and affiliated to the University of Jammu.

Late Shri Ram Chand Mahajan, a prominent citizen of Jammu, was a man of many great visions and foresight. He had a firm conviction that aprivate sector is destinated to play a very significant role in the development of the society. Social causes were, therefore, very dear to his heart. One of his dreams was to contribute substantially to the society through the medium of Educational Institutions. To give a concrete shape to his father’s vision, Shri Sudershan Mahajan embarked upon the project of opening a College of Education where the future builders of the nation would be trained. This cherished hope turned into a reality when the Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir and University of Jammu granted permission to the K.C Educational Society to start the College with effect from the Academic Session 2001-2002. Thus the college has been named as K.C College of Education.

The avowed objective of the colleges is to train dedicated, enlightened and skilful teachers who would in turn serve the society by ensuring the all-round development of young children entrusted to their charge. The country, at the present juncture, requires a large number of teachers with a missionary zeal who would help the society in shaping the bright future of its citizens keeping in view the lofty ideals and high principles enshrined in our sacred constitution. The College will on its party try to achieve the highest standards of academic excellence envisaged by great thinkers, philosophers and Educationists such as Gandhi, Tagore, Aurobindo, John Dewey and others.

K.C Educational Society: Our guidling spirit Late Ram Chand Mahajan was a person of great foresight and vision. Social causes were very close to his heart. He was affirm believer. “ That corporation sector has certain social obligations towards the society and to fulfill these obligations they ought to continue to the society in the form of opening of Educational Institution”. To fulfill this desire, Shri Sudershan Mahajan , his son founder the K.C . Eucatioal Society, to qualities, extensive and meaningful education in order to prepare the youth of the country, State in general and the Jammu region in particular to face the present day challenges of the competitive world. He has a brilliant inventive mind and has been gifted with practical intelligence of a very high order. His thoroughness in action, clarity of thought and versatility of mind has earned him great respect. The K.C. Educational Society is a non profit making body and has been registered under the J&K Society Registration ct VI of 1998 ( 1941) A.D.

The educational complex of the society spreads over an area of 160 Kanals of land. To fulfill its aims and objectives, the society has been working to establish educational complex at Jammu ,providing education at the Secondary, Higher Secondary and Professional levels. Besides K.C College of Education. The society is presently running a Senior Secondary Public School affiliated with Central Board Secondary Education, New Delhi and K.C Law College ( 5 years Integrated Law Course and 3 Year Law Course) affiliated to the University of Jammu and approved by Bar Council of India. The Society has provided all possible infrastructures facilities, best available faculty and sacred academic atmosphere. K.C Educational Society is starting M.Ed course this year i.e Master’s Degree in Education shortly to the approval by the Jammu University so that trained, dedicated, enlightened, skillful teachers would be produced who intum serve the society by ensuring the all round development of the child entrusted to their charge. The motto of the society is “Enter To Learn And Leave To Serve”
