      Gandhi Memorial College of Education founded in 1944 with B.Ed. department added to it in 1955 and later on converted into a full fledged teacher training college namely Gandhi memorial College of Education is the only institution in the state which has all along during the last 50 years maintained its academics excellence and produced thousands of trained teachers across the State of J&K in particular and the country as a whole.
