The college was established in the year 2002 and is affiliated to the University of Kashmir to impart instructions in the B.Ed course. The college is located at Noor Bagh Sopore at a distance of 46 kms from the Srinagar city.

The college has its own assets in the form of land with greeneries, parks and specious playground for outdoor games. As for housing requirements, three gigantic blocks viz Teaching, Administrative and Library blocks function on order to meet the student’s requirements. Three stories Hostel accommodation is available fully equipped with furniture, furnishing and telephone facility for all the students, No student is allowed to move outside the college/hostel premises during day, night or holidays without proper permission.

The Library of the college is rich in terms of books on reference, text and general nature relevant to B.Ed course. The college has well equipped psychological lab with psychological tests, Science lab with equipments, apparatus, charts, diagrams, specimens, glassware, microscope and Technology lab on scientific line fully equipped with required accessories. The college has developed a computer lab comprising of 10 branded computers and audio visual facility with overhead projector, LCD, maps, tools, teaching aid material etc. Besides, a Digital Camera, Photostat Copier, and Fax are also available. The college is subscribing of four newspapers in addition to magazines and educational journals.

Subjects offered: Besides four foundation papers, the college offers nine optional papers, i.e. Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, English, History, Geography, Mathematics, Physics Science and Bio Science. Five Elective subjects offered by us are Population Education, Educational Technology, Elementary Computer Education and Guidance and Counseling and Environmental Education.

The college right from its inception undertook various developmental works only to benefit the student. Some of these e works have been completed and some arte under process. These include construction/ expansion of hostel, Up-gradation of Library, Laboratories and other infrastructural facilities etc. In order to meet the requirements of the non-local, Hindi literature and other books in Hindi version are made available to them.
