About Govt Industrial Training Institute, Mandi

The institute was established in the year 2000 with just two trades namely Plumber and COPA. With the passage of time and need of the local people four more trades namely Dress Making, Cutting & Sewing, Embroidery & Needle work and Hair & Skin care were introduced. The institute was selected for up gradation under PPP mode in the year 2008 and three more trades namely Electrician, Fitter and Mechanic Motor Vehicle were added. In the year 2015 one more unit of Plumber was granted affiliation under PPP Mode and all other trades were granted re-affiliation.

Institute has trained thousands of trainees. This is the oldest Training Institute of Himachal Pradesh. The Institute was run by GOI before 1971. The institute was firstly placed under Ministry of Labour and Employment Government of Himachal Pradesh and later Placed under Department of Technical Education, Vocational and Industrial Training, Himachal Pradesh. The Institute is Affiliated to National Council for Vocational Training.

Together we will strive to upgrade ITI Jogindernagar as a self reliant, proficient technical institute in next 10 years. Whilst shaping the young minds into a finest tradesman, it will be our endeavor to mould them as healthy, sincere, dedicated, responsible and Patriotic citizens of Mother India. Sensitizing the trainees about gender equity, women empowerment, Drugs menace and need of eradicating social evils will be the added responsibility of the Management to transform the society.
