Located in Jyotsna Private Industrial Training Institute JPS Complex Lohari Hamirpur was established in the year 2000. This is an Institute, which is recognised by the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh vide letter No. STV IT HF 7A 12/99-7325 dated 01/03/2000 and set up strictly according to the Guidelines of SCVT Directorate of Technical Education Himachal Pradesh and NCVT, Directorate General of Employment and Training Ministry of labour Govt. of India, New Delhi as the institute has been accorded permanent affiliation by the said body vide letter No DGET 6/8/1/2001-TC dated 26/04/2001 and 23/04/2002., In order to keep pace with the modernization and to solve the problem of unemployment, the Sarswati Education & Cultural Trust feels a strong need to run an institute in the rural area of Himachal Pradesh in order to impart Technical Education to unemployed Rural youths in the field of Computer, Electrician, Motor vehicle Mechanic, Electronics Mechanic, Cutting & Sewing, Embroidery & needle work, Plumber, Welder, Driver Cum Mechanic, Fitter, Food Production, Hotel Management and in other specialized fields. In these days of vast unemployment, the general education provided at the college level is increasingly becoming irrelevant for early carrier seeking middle class youth, particularly for those who have rural background. It was also in line with the established policy of Govt. of H.P. Technical Education that an institute/Centre in the name of JPITI. This centre is an undertaking of Sarswati Education and Cultural Trust., The approved syllabus of National Council For Vocational Training, Ministry of labour NCVT Govt. of India, New Delhi will be followed in the above-mentioned trades. The trades offered by this institute are of full time duration. During the course of training visits to various factories/Institutions using the computer and manufacturing the electronic, & electricity equipments will be organised. Efforts will also be made to ensure that all students on successful completion of their training are absorbed in the industry and in the Govt./Semi Govt.
