Government Polytechnic For Women, Faridabad was established in the year 1995,
Faridabad meaning founded by St. Farid also houses the native place of another great St. Surdas in Sihi Village adjoining the Institute. Prominent tourist spots such as Suraj Kund , Sohna Water Spring, Badkal Lake are just half an hour drive from the Institute. The city itself houses many Multi National Companies and is the heart of prominent industrial sectors of Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon and thus provides excellent opportunities for students training and subsequent placement.
Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Faridabad finds beautiful location and provides an ideal environment for education at Institute. It is situated in Sector –8 of HUDA and is just:

This newly established pioneering Institute came up and was setup completely under World Bank Project with an approximated expenditure of Rs. 12.0 Crore. Its building is raised across the well spread green area over 11 acres of land & houses the beautiful Institution campus, the hostel and the residential colony. The total building is modern in its design and construction; provides well renovated fully AC computer centres, well-ventilated and illuminated classrooms, laboratories and workshops.Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Faridabad was established in 1995 and the guest classes were running at Govt. Polytechnic for women Sirsa. It came in to existence at the beautiful location with its ideal environment for education in Sector –8 of HUDA in Faridabad in August 1999, when the 1st batch of its incumbents was admitted in to 4 disciplines of Engineering through the centralized State admission.
